Sunday, January 15

Christmas came and went and was wonderful.
One of my favorite things about
Christmas this year was that it was on Sunday.
This year we were able to go to church before
jumping into the usual festivities of gifts.
Renewing my covenants and hearing uplifting songs about the Savior of the world was the perfect way to begin the celebration.
In my opinion.

Here is my lovely mother.

I hope everybody had a warm Christmas celebration.

This little message made me warm, fuzzy and grateful.

Merry Cowboy Christmas!
This year I got to work at Cowboy Christmas for the full ten days.
I sold hats for Resistol in the Teskey's booth and loved it.
Ain't that the berries?
Here is a picture with me and some of my co-workers.

I hope y'all are fixin' to have a Merry Christmas!
This little darlin' sure is.

Wednesday, October 26

Today is the day.
I usually at least wait until after Halloween is over, but with THIS BABY out I just can't resist. I started listening to Christmas music today. That's right. No, no, you're not mistaken, it IS October.
In my defense, I got into the family car a couple of months ago to run an errand for somebody and what do I hear? O Sing Choirs of Angels by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir happens to be playing in the cd player. In August! Mother....?
Here is a picture that will make organized people think, "this must be Michaela's sick idea of organization" and disorganized people think, "well I guess Michaela needs to blow off some OCD steam.."

Well, you're both right. It's actually me trying to work out my schedule for winter 2012. Too bad for you you can't hear the wind whistling outside, Bing Crosby singing some jolly tunes or smell my creamy, bacon, potato soup. I'm tellin you guys... Winter is coming. And I'm listening to Christmas music tonight. So there.

Catch up! Some things have happened. Like this ->

Sister Gutierrez left us. We are smiling in the picture,
but we were sad.

Stephanie and Juan got married!
They looked amazing and I was so happy
to be able to go to Carlsbad and be a part of
their wedding weekend! Love these guys.

I had an "old fashioned Christmas" with
Grandma and Grandpa's ward in Carlsbad.

I wished everybody a Merry Christmas
and bid the beautiful sun farewell.

Spent Christmas in Logandale with the family.

Said goodbye to these wonderful sisters.
I was able to spend quite a bit of time with them.
I love these girls and I was sad to leave them.

Tuesday, December 14

It's coming on Christmas! We're decking the halls. We're trimming the tree. We're stringing the lights. We're hanging the mistletoe. We're singing yuletide carols. We're lighting candles. We're wrapping boxes. We're tying bows. We're dressing the turkey. We're baking goodies. We're sipping hot cocoa. We're looking at lights. We're sending good tidings. We're sharing the Gospel. We're thinking of Christ. We're loving each other. What a great season.

Monday, November 8

I missed October. Where the heck did it go? It's gone! Happy late Birthday to... Melanie, Sharrid, Marc, Mitch, Paula, Lexie, Connie and Gregg! Because I most likely missed it! I don't know where I've been! Well, actually I've been at Wally's working. That's most of what I remember about the last few weeks. I did manage to have some fun though.

I feel like BYUidaho is finally creeping up on me. I can't wait, but I have to admit, I am getting just a bit nervous. Butterflies spaz out in my stomach when I start to think of it, when before they were dancing at the thought. I'm still very grateful and excited to go! Just.. a little nervous.

I'm stoked about the holidays. I'm one of the crazies. One of those crazy people whose world just seems to revolve around the holiday season. One of the people who has been welcoming the season with Christmas music since a week or two before Halloween. I love the glow of the lights, the smell of the pine, the magic in the air and the holiday cheer. I know everybody loves Christmas, but I hope you know the kind of people I'm talking about. Two people come to mind when I think of "Christmas crazies". My missed roommate Natalie is one of them. It was so nice rooming with her. She was basically flawless and the fact that she was completely obsessed with the holiday season (especially Christmas) made me feel like I wasn't the only crazy out there. The other person that comes to mind is my dear friend Greg. I love both of these people. And I think they will always be in my heart when the season rolls in. My fellow "Christmas giddies :)".

Mom, Dad, Tibi, Landon and I were able to go to Randon (my cousin) and Kylee's Wedding Reception in Ivans. It was adorable to say the least. And they are an adorable couple. I was lucky enough to have a dance with Dad, eat a doughnut and sip on hot cocoa, see cousins, laugh with Tibi and Landon and admire the general splendor.

The premier of "CONAN" was on tonight. Oh, how I've missed him. I'm so glad he is back. :)

I'm a huge fan of Google, but I think that their Blogger is a pathetic excuse for a program. Whoever designed it should be fired or should work for Yahoo.

Oh, Mother...
My mom made my sisters and I these reversible aprons
for Christmas this year! We don't look too cute in
these pictures, (they were taken after midnight), but
the aprons are still cute! Thanks mom!
